My own Diamond

I am a diamond.
I was made under pressure.
For that reason my strength can never be questioned.
Buried my pieces and I resurrected.
I underestimated my own ability to regroup.
Who knew pieces can break and still hold sturdy without surgery?
All I needed was some pressure.
I am whole again.
Built layer by layer with unforeseen circumstances.
I bet you didn’t see it coming.
My shine is permanent now and I refuse to let it dim again.
My presence will forever be a contagious urge to make you smile.
After all diamonds are a girl’s best friend.
